Savannah River Remediation is seeking a Principal Budget/Funds Analyst to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.
The Principal Budget/Funds Analyst is responsible for organizing, analyzing, reporting on, presenting and maintaining essential information providing management the capability to plan, schedule and implement cost controls throughout the life cycle of the company’s highly complex and integrated multi-facility program. Prepares financial plans, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, prepares evaluations of actual costs against budgeted funds and determines reasons for variances between cost and budget. Acts as interface and liaison with Management & Operating (M&O) contractor primarily in the area of Service Level Agreements.
Performs complex financial analyses using multiple data sources, summarizes data, and makes recommendations to management
Develops financial models to support multi-year financial and budget plans
Develops, evaluates, and revises procedures as necessary
Prepares a variety of reports with supporting recommendations including those for the Board of Managers, Department of Energy (DOE) Award Fee determination, and to assist senior management in determining overall progress towards meeting company and DOE objectives
Troubleshoots day-to-day funds management and/or interface issues and inconsistencies and provides direction and support as necessary
Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents special studies for senior management, DOE- Savannah River (SR) and Headquarters, Congressional, media, the Inspector General, and others as requested
Develops periodic progress reports and reviews with project/program managers to ensure completeness and accuracy when discussing cost and schedule with the DOE-SR
Prepares and issues periodic status of critical items to management that highlight significant program issues and potential impacts to project milestones and DOE objectives
Administers and coordinates the exchange of contractual interface services between the company and M&O Contractor to include the establishment, review and approval of the Memorandum of Agreement, Functional Service Agreements, and Service Level Agreements
Represents the company on Site-level teams (e.g. Interface Management, Long-Range Planning, Infrastructure Management)
Provides technical consultation and disseminates guidance to project and functional personnel in the area of funds, project execution and interface
Provides support to Proposal Development on an as-needed basis
Cultivates and maintains productive working relationships across the company and with DOE and other Site contractor interfaces.

Savannah River Site
Savannah River Remediation LLC, a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRR is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders Amentum, Bechtel, BWXT, and Jacobs. The SRR Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Site’s Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities. www.srremediation.com
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8+ years of progressive experience demonstrating in depth understanding and application of budgeting/planning concepts and principles and/or issues management/resolution.
Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a US Citizen.
