2nd Shift Production Supervisor

job summary:

2nd Shift Production Supervisor located in Anderson, SC for a leading manufacturer of consumer goods. Position is responsible for meeting production demand for the line by addressing inconsistencies, balancing manpower and reporting equipment issues. Candidates will have High School Diploma and five (5) plus years' Supervisory experience in Manufacturing operations. This is a long-term contract opportunity (Must be open to support 2nd shift) APPLY NOW!

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Must have five (5) plus years' Supervisory experience in Manufacturing operations

  • Proficient in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Previous experience with plant startups, including knowledge of new product introduction processes from concept to production, is a plus

responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting production demand for the line by addressing inconsistencies, balancing manpower and reporting equipment issues

  • Provides hands-on support, leadership, and direction to their direct reports

  • Promote action oriented safety culture embracing safety as a core value

  • Attend production meetings; helps set and coordinate production schedule demands with Team Members.

  • Use of Lean Tools to drive real-time problem-solving in support of attaining departmental metrics (SQCD)

  • Ability to engage team members to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration

  • Analyzes production on a continuous basis and adjusts accordingly as needed

  • Responsible for meeting production schedule in accordance with established standards and scheduling commitments from planning meetings and directives

  • Must be able to walk production area for the majority of work shift

The essential functions of this role include:

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • standing for 8 hours at one time

  • working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

  • working weekends
