SC Department of Public Safety Practical Nursing Instructor in Bamberg County, South Carolina
Job Responsibilities
Teach assigned courses and provide clinical instruction; serve as academic advisor; assists with student recruitment and retention; participates in curriculum and instructional materials development and assessment functions; serves on college committees; and participates in College outreach activities. Additionally, the Nursing Instructor will work with the Dean of Nursing to maintain accreditation guidelines and program quality and be able to motivate students and construct effective test instruments that are measurable and congruent to established instructional criteria.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Must demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter being taught and hold valid teaching credentials as defined by State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education, College policy, SACSCOC and the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and two years of clinical experience as a registered or advanced practice nurse. Must hold an unencumbered, active license as a registered nurse in South Carolina or another compact state.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's of Nursing degree and previous teaching experience preferred.
Additional Comments
Will be required to travel to and supervise students at clinical sites.
