We are seeking aProcessing Technician (Part-time) for ourInsourcing Solutions site locatedBeaufort, SC.
The following are responsibilities related to the Processing Technician:
Assist in processing animals four times per year to include: animal care, capture, injecting, tattooing, weighing, TB testing and bleeding of rhesus monkeys
Operate truck and possibly bobcats with onsite training
Performs very basic animal husbandry duties as required
Performs all work assignments in accordance with guidelines established by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and Morgan Island SOP and specific protocol instructions.
Perform all other related duties as assigned
The following are minimum qualifications related to theProcessing Technician position:
Education: GED or HS Diploma required.
Experience: One year of experience in animal care. At least six months working with non-human primates strongly preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
