Tennis Attendant

SUMMARY

The Activities Attendant will provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis. Responsible for accurate and efficient handling of tennis reservations for Members and Guests, including croquet reservations and daily tennis lessons time reconciliation; shop merchandise sales and special order requirements for members and guests; shop maintenance and appearance under specified guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Make accurate lesson times for members and Inn guests.

  • Greet all guests at the Tennis Pro Shop with a warm welcome.

  • Answer telephone with positive, professional etiquette in 3 rings or less.

  • Exposure with monthly inventories and inventory controls and receiving.

  • Assist Tennis Professionals in keeping par levels with tennis supplies and daily operation of the Tennis Shop.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate required.

  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, Point of Sale programs.

  • Must have the ability to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; team oriented.

  • Must be detail oriented and organized with ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Able to lift 50 or more pounds.
