Job Summary/Purpose : Preferred experience in Cardiology, ICU, ER, Basic EKG, and proficient in Intravenous Therapy. The RN is responsible for providing quality nursing care while maintaining accountability for the coordination of patient care in Nuclear Stress and Echo Stress Testing.
Responsible for triaging and performing patient assessment before, during and after stress testing. Provide patient/family education. Proficient in the ability to start IV’s. Provides clinical support to the provider and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Follow-up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filling in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity and care. Responsible for all regulatory requirements that apply to nursing within Radiology Services-Nuclear Medicine, and Echo Stress. Foster a positive work environment through mutual support and collaboration and adheres to MUSC Health and unit specific services standards. Performs duties to provide the highest level of patients care and maximize patient satisfaction in accordance with the goals and objectives of MUSC Health. Demonstrates strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Responds appropriately to emergencies appropriately. Reports directly to Nurse Manager.
Minimum Training and Education: Licensure as registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current RN License with one year of experience in related area of practice. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current South Carolina RN License and BLS required. ACLS required.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance, work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (+/-) unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
