Crossroads Treatment Centers Pharmacy Technician (Charleston Center) in Charleston, South Carolina

Are you a professional, detailed, multi-tasker who is wonderful with patients? Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Charleston location!

Responsibilities:

  • Write patients name, dose, and number of takeouts on corresponding patient’s signature log and on proper log (liquid of tablets)

  • Review each patients flag’s prior to dosing

  • Ensure accuracy of patient’s dose be verifying against “dose level” and flags.

  • Ensure each patient signs log prior to dosing

  • Check ID or confirm digital photograph in Methasoft software matches patient

  • Security of Methadone at dosing window

  • Enforce “lock box” policy

  • Enforce and check for patient names and dates on returned bottles from previous dosing

  • Ensure adequate ordering of pharmacy supplies

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy and supplies

  • Utilize appropriate sink for cleaning of pharmacy dispensing equipment and alert Director when leaving “secure” area with dispensing equipment

  • Ensure smooth work flow

Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required in completing all assignments. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow-through on all assignments.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have state issued pharmacy technician license, certification or registration.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5am. No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program. Must have a valid driver's license.
