The candidate will support SPAWAR System Center Atlantic (SSC LANT), located in Charleston, SC. The project will require the candidate provide support to clients, customers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader(s) to manage software and Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs) and ensure processes, policies, and procedures are in place to meet regulatory, operational, audit and reporting requirements related to software and licensing management. The candidate will ensure cyber security compliance of managed software products and maintenance/patching is performed as needed The candidate will recommend upgrades/renewals and ensure they are managed and procured in advance of software license expiration. The candidate will maintain inventory control of software and licensing and will report as needed on which IPT, individual and hardware asset the software is installed including software maintenance/patch status and report when the software is removed from the network. The candidate will be required to conduct what/if analysis, maintain software configuration control, provide recommended corrective actions to ensure key deliverables are met on time and on budget. The candidate will plan, prepare for and facilitate IPT meetings with stakeholders as required. The candidate will identify potential savings opportunities for software licensing and renewals.Specific Duties:Key duties include, but are not limited to:Execute on-demand reports as needed for IPT leadership and project stakeholders for all current software in use by IPT, individual owner and by hardware asset on which the software is installed to include maintenance/patch status and any associated issuesEnsure software support and cyber security posture are maintained and report status to IPT leadership project stakeholders as requiredAssist IPT leadership project stakeholders with identifying an automated system to help manage software licensing to ensure effective and efficient software licensing management and complianceGenerate, conduct and analyze software licensing audits for software inventoriesContinually review license assignment and utilization to confirm compliance, work with leadership team the help identify solutions to automate alerts when software licenses and renewals are requiredCommunicate with excellent verbal and written skills, present accurate, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audienceParticipate in IPT meetings to proactively provide awareness of any current or potential obstacles to successful software compliance and management for the IPT.Develop and maintain process flow diagrams and work instruction level documentation related to software licensing process management as required.Identify potential cost and time savings opportunities for license renewalsWork with IPT leadership and project stakeholders and provide recommendations on software asset life cycle strategy and procurementDevelop and report on risk and opportunity management strategies and apply mitigation strategies reduce likelihood and impact of risks and increase the likelihood and impact of opportunitiesIdentify and implement process improvement and industry software management best practice methodologies when appropriateAdditional Requirements: CompTIA Security+ CertificationiThe preferred candidate has at least three yearsi experience working on US Government IT projects.The preferred candidate has experience in these areasUnderstanding of software licensing rules and ELAs.Department of Defense organization and structureGenerating and executing SQL scripts and ad hoc report requestsRisk Management Framework (RMF)iTracking assets IAW NIST compliance requirementsConducting regression testing including independent verification and validation and User Acceptance TestingAgile software methodologiesProject and software management methodologies.Microsoft Office suiteDeveloping and analyzing business and operational processesRisk/issue/opportunity manage
