ManTech USMC Tactical Communications/Networking SME in Charleston, South Carolina

ManTech is seeking a USMC Tactical Communications/Networking SME to join our growing team supporting the USMC in Charleston, SC.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD security clearance.

General Responsibilities :

This USMC Tactical Communications/Networking SME will be responsible for providing subject matter expert (SME) support required to perform communications and networking modifications in the form of engineering changes to USMC tactical voice and data communication systems. This SME will be responsible for interpreting technical requirements, identifying prototype solutions, developing technical content, system configuration/troubleshooting, and day-to-day technical support/guidance as required.

Mandatory Skills/Experience :

Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance

Must meet DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical IAT Level II (IAT-II) certification requirements

Operational knowledge of USMC voice and data communications, to include: UHF, VHF, HF, SATCOM, SINCGARS, ANW2

Extensive experience with configuring, operating, and troubleshooting USMC voice and data radios and vehicular radio configurations, specifically:

RT-1523, AN/VRC-89, AN/VRC-92

AN/PRC-117F

AN/PRC-150

AN/PRC-117G, AN/VRC-114

Experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting TOCNET Intercommunication System (ICS)

Working knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, to include:

Static Routes

Dynamic Routing Protocols – EIGRP, RIPv2

Subnets

Layer 2/3 Switching

Cisco Switches, Routers, and IOSs

Familiarity with developing technical content required to produce the following technical documents and/or USMC publications:

Modification Instructions (MIs)

Technical Instructions (TIs)

Technical Manuals (TMs)

Component Parts List / SL-3

Bill of Materials (BOM)

Interface Control Document (ICD)

Capability to interpret and analyze MIL-STD (e.g. MIL-STD-810G), operational, and other requirements documentation as required in order to identify technical specifications for new or replacement communications and networking equipment and associated cabling

Capability to provide technical specifications and parts identification required to develop new or replacement prototype communication and networking cabling

Proficiency in Visio required to develop network diagrams, communication architectures, and system interconnect diagrams

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience with configuring, operating, and troubleshooting the following applications/systems:

Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P)

Command and Control Personal Computer (C2PC)

Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)

Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR)

Experience with the following additional communication systems:

AN/PRC-158, AN/VRC-124/125

AN/PRC-160

Harris RF-7800I ICS

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
