Acxiom LLC Data Management Specialist (Associate) in Columbia, South Carolina

In this DDMS position you will be working with our internal DIS (Delivery Implementation Specialists) team members as well as implementation resources and our clients. The DDMS role plays a critical part in the solutions we build for clients to ensure the solutions are tested and working properly. The DDMS role helps ensure our clients are happy with the solutions we deliver and that we have a smooth transition to production for our internal account team as well as our clients. Associate Delivery Data Management Specialist

The Associate Data Management Specialist is responsible for the execution and integrity of the end to end data flow in Acxiom’s product-based client solutions. They work with the client and solution architect to understand the client’s data and business requirements and map those into the capabilities of Acxiom’s solutions. They analyze the source data against the capabilities of the products, consult with the client on data integrity issues, and map the data into the solution. They perform auditing and quality checks to ensure the integrity of the data is maintained as it flows through the system. They work to ensure that the client’s success criteria are achieved by making sure the data required for campaigns, BI/reporting, analytics, extracts, and other outputs is identified.

Responsibilities of the Data Management Specialist include:

  • Builds and maintains expertise on Acxiom UDL product capabilities and usage

  • Perform analysis, prepare reports, and participate in initial data discussions with the client

  • Manages transfers of source file data to and from external and internal locations, ensures connectivity is in place for client and vendors

  • Perform configuration & mapping of source file data in delivery tools that aligns with requirements, design, and mapping documentation

  • Perform QA & auditing to ensure the data quality through the solution including the data warehouse, data mart(s), and outputs/extracts

  • Executes build processes for initial QA and final production build

  • Consults with client on data counts, quality, and operational reports

  • Identifies, tracks, and resolves data issues

  • Transitions data management responsibilities to production Delivery Analyst

Required Skills:

  • Good, solid SQL knowledge/will be frequently investigating issues and must be able to complete in timely manner

  • Good knowledge of Excel/documenting and tracking issues, etc.

  • Able to research items using google or another search tool, to find answers to a question

  • Ability to learn new tools quickly

  • Ability to document the use of new tools for use by fellow teammates and production resources

  • Ability to receive constructive feedback

  • Ability to work to due dates

  • Attention to detail

  • Great written and oral communication skills
