The Columbia, SC Manufacturing Plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Manufacturing Manager for Weekend Shift : Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm and Monday morning 5:00am-11:00am.

You will be primarily accountable for organization and integration of the internal and external resources to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the manufacturing floor and coordinate related functions to align with company goal and culture.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Administrate and support production team and facilitate skill development

  • Create workforce plan and manage related resources to improve production performance including collaboration with other departments

  • Oversee the implementation of manufacturing schedules, personnel requirements, quality control, production standards and safety programs.

  • Analyze manufacturing requirements, prepare labor resources, and arrange work assignments according to prioritization plan

  • Coordinate production to guarantee production quality, timing, customer focus, and optimal efficiency to reach plant and cluster goals

  • Collaborate with related departments for issue resolution and improvement of productions processes as per SPS requirements

  • Audit processes, procedures, and product quality ensuring a safe and healthy work environment

  • Establish and maintain work performance measurements to present results and utilize for drive to improvement

  • Develop team competency through training, coaching, communication, and performance management

  • Enhance team building, motivating employees to actively participate in continuous improvement

This job might be for you if:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

  • 5-10 years of manufacturing plant experience

  • 3 or more years of previous leadership experience

  • Can communicate effectively with both the leadership team and employees

  • Possess strong problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Can work cross functionally and collaboratively with other departments

  • Are knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma and its application


  • Solid understanding of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety

  • Experience facilitating change management within an organization

  • Product, solution, and business knowledge within Schneider Electric
