Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Manage Site Reliability efforts. Includes supervising Reliability Technician.
Manage relief device database.
Lead effort of repairs to fire water system.
Manage work order system and AO Docs for the Maintenance Department. (Administrator Role)
Lead effort to organize and maintain the Engineering drawings.
Lead effort to document TPM metrics.
Lead in troubleshooting Polymer and Plant Energy (mechanical).
Assist as needed with troubleshooting equipment in production areas (mechanical).
Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) records for operating areas.
Manages the scheduling of the PM’s with the operating area leadership.
Manages the process of keeping an adequate supply of critical spare parts in Maintenance Shops.
Purchase parts as required for specific jobs through MSI and outside sources.
Initiate outside service purchase requisitions and coordinate execution with contractors for such items as component repairs, on-site maintenance, equipment cleaning, etc.
Coordinate with MSI to send out components for repair.
Investigate and provide specialized equipment to improve safety, quality, and reliability.
Attend weekly scheduling meetings in each operating area.
Serve on quality, safety, and Maintenance teams as required.
Assist in training efforts of area personnel through procedure writing/modifications, conducting sessions, bringing in outside resources, purchasing training materials and equipment, etc.
With the HS&E department and Maintenance leadership, investigate improvements in personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify alternate sources of material to reduce costs.
Ensure safety and departmental policies and procedures are followed.
Initiate and document the initial investigation of safety and environmental issues.
Work with operators to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Support reward and recognition program based on criteria related to safety, quality and productivity.
Communicate any information concerning disciplinary action pertaining to safety violations. Document and recommend discipline for hourly employees and develop behavior and performance improvement plans.
Work with the Maintenance Planner and Supervisors to ensure the Maintenance Department is following the TPM process.
Demonstrate basic understanding and application of engineering theory
Observe facilities and make technical recommendations
Work closely with plant/divisional management and plant maintenance personnel
Support Utilities operations at plant and help maintain equipment to include air compressors, chillers, and boilers.
Complete capital and expense projects as assigned by Plant Engineer. Additional duties to include:
Investigate requirements and problems of projects and develop plans for solutions
Collect and evaluate data
Develop equipment specifications
Write project proposals
Initiate purchase requisitions
Plan and coordinate work
Control and administer all phases of installations

4 year degree in Engineering
(Prefer) 5 years’ experience in a project engineering or maintenance leadership role
Previous experience with TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing), AutoCAD and certified project management training will be a plus
8 hour, day shift
