We are seeking a Power BI developer to support a federal client.

As a Power BI Developer you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our internal customers. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from Product Owner and Business System Leads on development activities.
Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
Ensuring that technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.

Semantic Layer in Power BI
Power Query and DAX
Power BI best practices around security
Utilize key components of SQL Server (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, MDS/DQS, R Server)
Leverage Microsoft cloud-based solutions for data/analytics including Azure HDInsight, Azure SQL DW, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning
R and Python visualizations
GIS Mapping visualizations
ASTERIX (ATC standard) Analytics (not required)
Geospatial and Weather Analytics
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level
Closely work with stakeholders on Enabling Power BI Service and Architecture
Understanding of Data Flows and Common Data Model
2 year working experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Visualizations)
Experience using SQL Server (complex queries, store procedures and SSRS)
Experience using Python Analytics stack (Anaconda, Jupyter)
