This position is located in Columbia, SC. Applicants must currently reside in the Columbia area in order to be considered, as internships require availability while attending school full time.
Opening for May 17th start date with a potential extension into the Fall semester. Hours are flexible, but successful candidate must be able to work 15-20+ hours/week during the school year and 40 hours/week during summer and when school is not in session. Workdays are flexible to accommodate student schedules within business hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Provide support to field sales force by providing pricing authorizations on the phone and through email.
Develop and enhance tools used for quoting special equipment options
Debug selection software tool issues when the need arises.
Perform software maintenance on existing tools. Do new program development when needed.
Create and edit technical solutions for the field sales force.
Full-time student status as a junior in a 4-year program with engineering major preferred.
Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc. is a huge plus
Interested in Sales and/or Marketing.
Must exhibit a solid professional business image with a team player attitude.
Must be a self-starter capable of setting and meeting goals and deadlines
Must be able to operate effectively in a diverse environment with multiple business goals while maintaining internal and external relationships.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required, including strong group presentation skills.
Must be capable of grasping technical engineering details to provide solutions for customers.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
