Sirius Computer Solutions Senior Creative Designer in Columbia, South Carolina

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver solutions to our customers in the Digital Agency area. This position will also assist with the pre-sales and definition of multiple customer projects, utilizing a wide range of experience and applying skills to a variety of industries and situations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with sales and marketing teams incorporate creative designs into collateral, presentations, concepts, etc.

  • Demonstrate a broad range of skills and abilities; including core web design competencies (composition and layout, typography, color) as well as a strong understanding of usability and web development best practices.

  • Create initial concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes for sales pitches, including web/mobile interfaces

  • Translating a client's marketing or informational content into a functional website or Mobile application.

  • Participate in artistic problem solving.

  • Design and layout creative templates and assets based on approved design concepts. Final deliverables must go through a client approval process and be prepared and delivered for development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • At least four (4) years of Digital and Marketing experience, to include at least two (2) years of experience with the following Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Other Position Requirements

  • UI Skillset: Experience designing for large web, small web, tablet and mobile devices, using Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent tool

  • Interaction Skillset: Experience designing for both click and touch, using inVision Studio or equivalent tool

  • Proven experience with redline handoffs to development team

  • Demonstrated research ability

  • Experience in a Scrum and or Agile environment

  • Experience with InDesign, MS Office, Acrobat and FTP

  • Knowledge of development techniques, including HTML and CSS

  • Demonstrated ability to slice and optimize graphics for development and prepare user specification/styleguide documents.

  • Experience designing for web based applications, both public facing internets and corporate intranets, with dynamic content elements.

  • Ability to consult with project stakeholders to elicit and refine Creative requirements and implement them into designs

  • Experience designing, building and delivering presentation to clients

  • Proven understanding of website layout, usability and accessibility.

  • Experience in core graphic design skills and tools from layout to multimedia.

  • Proven web graphics production capability with in depth knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

  • Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution.

  • Current knowledge on new technologies, standards and best practices in website development and mobile development.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a multi-faceted team.

  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, including experience designing, building and delivering presentation to clients.

  • Ability to be self-motivated and self-managed, to multitask, and to meet tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering highly-polished website under tight time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HTML, HTML5, and/or CSS3 experience

  • Motion Graphics experience

  • JavaScript experience

  • JSP and/or JSON experience

  • XML experience

  • AJAX / dynamic HTML experience

  • Flash Action Script/Flex experience

  • Experience designing native applications (Android, iOS), progressive web apps and adaptive web apps

  • Experience in a mature and scaled Agile environment

Essential Functions

The position exists to provide consulting solutions to customers a nd as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
