Manages the underwriting and adjudication function for a segment of the Credit Center
Establishes goals and objectives for staff
Generates and develops a variety of reports, including reports to monitor and measure department operating statistics, efficiency and productivity
Provides narrative analysis and recommendations regarding trends and outliers
Exercises authority concerning personnel actions including staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations
Reviews loans that require special handling because of complexity, aggregate exposure or special circumstances
Serves as primary small business loan officer; acts as final appeal for small business lending decisions
Develops and administers underwriting process which aligns with commercial loan policy with limited Customer-supplied information
Participates in industry initiatives to promote fraud detection and risk reduction
Partners with other lines of business to implement new products or services
Develops training programs for staff and field
Directs the study and establishment of new and revised systems, procedures, methods and forms that would be used in, or have an affect on, the Small Business Credit Loan activities under the individual's administrative control
Assists with the preparation and implementation of small business loan policy; incorporates loan policy into the credit administration function and incorporates collection requirements into department policies and procedures
Monitors and tracks events that impact credit scores, origination metrics, delinquencies, charge offs and recoveries, such as changes in small business credit policy, introduction of new products and process redesign
Advises staff on the Company's overall lending policy, identifying significant trends and communicating policy changes to staff as necessary

The Small Business Credit Administration Manager manages a small business loan underwriting team in a streamlined underwriting environment while ensuring a high quality loan underwriting and adjudication product consistent with the TD Bank Risk Appetite Principles. The Small Business Credit Administration Manager ensures all departmental policies and procedures are up to date, accurate and adhered to. The job will sporadically attend market meetings and field training exercises offering feedback to enhance the overall Small Business Lending process. Additional interaction with Credit Policy, Audit, Compliance, Legal and Technology is required.

4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
7-10 Years of related experience
Credit scoring experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of Small Business Credit Lending practices and procedures
SBA (Small Business Administration) or State Agency lending experience preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated successful management and leadership skills
Strong analytical/accounting skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to develop and train staff
Strong communication, interpersonal, and vendor management skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
PC skills, including ability to learn new systems
Multi-state regional travel required
Lending to healthcare professionals experience
