SC Department of Public Safety Food Service Specialist I (Aide) - Thad E. Saleeby Development Center in Darlington County, South Carolina
This position will be located at the Thad E. Saleeby Developmental Center. The incumbent will be required to
- Aides will make sure the trays are placed in the cam-carts for each wings/dorms correctly.
- Clean all service ware after each meal.
- Inventory food and service ware.
- Follow dress code for food service employees.
- Carries out assigned duties in central kitchen.
- Perform other related duties as required. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to provide direction to subordinate person. Food Service Experience is preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of food preparations, methods, materials, equipment used in food preparations and service sanitation and safety procedures pertaining to food preparation, storage and services. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift 50 pounds alone or if greater than 50 pounds lift with assistance, carry, squat, bend, kneel, balance, reach, pull, push, twist, and turn from wait-hips, knees, see, feel, taste, and smell. Employee is subject to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and may be subject to extreme hot or cold temperatures along with subject to noises from machines.

Immunization: All new employees are required to complete (2) step PPD testing prior to beginning employment. State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
College Transcripts: Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application are required to provide an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific time frame required by that area, after hiring.

Normal Work Schedule (Other): Monday - Friday and off every other weekend, hours are 5:30 am - 1:30 pm and 11: 00 am - 7:30 pm
