SC Department of Public Safety Adjunct Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT) Instructor - 2021 in Florence County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities Instruct, advise, guide and assist students to achieve job skills and social skills necessary to become employed as an Maintenance worker. Integrate classroom and hands-on experience enabling students to demonstrate competencies. Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning. Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students' needs. Oversee day-to-day operation of the class. Recruit and provide orientation for new students in the program. Maintain class records; prepare and submit instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy. Promote community awareness of program opportunities. Perform other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the College. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. NCCER Certification. Two years experience teaching and/or training students or apprentices in the Maintenance field. Knowledge of PLC, Hydraulics, pneumatics, Motor controls, and mechanical /electrical applications. Preferred Qualifications Four years experience working as a maintenance worker; Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom; excellent oral and written communication skills.
