Operations Supervisor 1

Overview of Position

Responsible for the operational activities of the charge department. Reviews and analyzes reports, records and directives, and confers with managers/ supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. May evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and develop and implement improved procedures and practices. Gives work direction, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Monitors and analyzes costs and prepares budgets.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Perform operational management duties as needed

  • Supervise team members

  • Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team

  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Years of experience: 2+ years related work experience

  • Education: Required: 2-year degree in finance/business or related field or equivalent experience

What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?

  • Knowledge of medical billing revenue cycle management

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Leadership skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Work well with others

  • Computer literate

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

  • General office demands

How much should I expect to travel?

  • 10% or less
