Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems in superconducting magnet in MRI system thru CAD based on engineering and manufacturing input. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components and new product introduction. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures.
Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of BOM, 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats for MRI magnets to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection. Works together with team from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues related design and drawings. Communicates with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related field equivalent (defined as a High School Diploma/GED and 6-8 years relevant work experience)
• Five+ years experience in superconducting magnet and/or gradient coil design or other complex system with close coupling to a manufacturing team.
• Experience in directing the work of other personnel to successfully complete projects. Experience in project management; scheduling, manpower forecasting, etc.
• Experience in pressure vessel design and regulatory agencies, such as ASME, TUV, and UL. Knowledge of the ISO 9000 standard
