Job Description

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations in keeping with McLeod Health’s Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.Negotiates or attempts to negotiate the rental or leasing of real estate or improvements to the real estate.Lists or offers to list and provide a service in connection with the leasing or rental of real estate or improvements to the real estate.Advertises or otherwise represents to the public as being engaged in an activity in subitems listing, offering to list and provide a service as stated in 3 and 4 above.Reviews and approves all forms of listing agreements, agency agreements, offers, sale contracts, purchase contracts, leases, options, contract addenda, or other contractual or disclosure documents routinely used by the real estate department.Is available to the public during business hours in order to discuss or resolve complaints and disputes that arise during the course of real estate transactions in which the property manager is involved.Establishes and maintain a written office policy in accordance with SC law.Provides written notifications required by the South Carolina Real Estate Commission as prescribed by SC Law.Responsible for all leasing functions, which may include reviewing and negotiating lease transactions and agreements.Oversees completion of all necessary paperwork and ensures proper customer service.Responsible for the productivity and budgetary performance of the Real Estate department.Ensures that leasing activities avoid entering financial relationships that could result in "private inurement" or impermissible "private benefit" with physicians and are compliant with the Physician Self-Referral Law, a.k.a. the “Stark Law” (42 USC § 1395nn), and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute (42 USC § 1320a-7b(b)).Ensures that leasing practices for rental of office space, equipment, and personal services maintain strong safeguards to protect patients and programs from fraud and abuse.Applies strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Demonstrates a history of supervision and ability to manage multiple projects and processes in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Uses excellent writing skills and command of English.Employs excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Improves efficiency and profitability of the department.Monitors and reports on trends in the marketplace.

Qualifications/Education/Training:

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Health Care Administration, Real Estate, or related field.

Licenses and/or Certifications:

Requires a valid Property Manager or Property Manager-In-Charge License issued in accordance with the SC Real Estate Licensing Law, Chapter 57, Articles 1-7.
