Active Day Program Coordinator in Georgetown, South Carolina
The Program Coordinator assists the Center Director with marketing the program, assisting potential referrals and helping with activities for members at the Center. The Program Coordinator ensures that all work complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle inquiry calls and tours and enrollments as needed. .
Maintain Referral Log entering all info for each inquiry on the same day of occurrence. Also
enter follow-up info for each lead and lead contacts.
- Schedule and conduct external marketing to generate new referral sources as well as maintain
relationship with existing ones. Retrieve business cards for each visit including the contact’s
email address and phone. Get direction from Center Director as to some contacts to make. All
marketing visits must be cleared with the Center Director as to relevance to increasing the
referral base. Also all marketing visits must be cleared with Center Director in advance to
assure ratios are planned for.
- Conduct occasional home visits as needed for inquiries for whom it is a hardship getting to the
center. Any home visits must be cleared with the Center Director before leaving building.
Conduct activities for members and supervision on the floor as directed
Provide some shopping tasks for center- ie Home Depot, Walmart, Sams Club, etc as needed.
Any shopping during work day must be cleared by the Center Director prior to leaving the
building.
CONDITIONS (Environment, Physical Demands, Hazards, etc)
• Exposure to biological agents (i.e.: body fluids, micro-organisms)
• Continuous walking/standing up to 2 hours
• Walking up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period
• Standing up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period
• Sitting up to 4 hours in a 8 hour period
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Frequent pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds

• Occasional kneeling
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Have a BS degree in health care related field approved by a State Department of
Education. In addition, the individual must be a qualified health professional experienced in
the care of the elderly and disabled and knowledgeable regarding their physical, social and
medical health needs.
Experience: Two years activities experience at a supervisory level in a geriatric or long term care
environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of company policies and procedures
Knowledge of the licensure and operation requirements for Older Adult Daily Living Centers
(6 PA Code, Chapter 11).
Knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental and OSHA regulations
Ability to demonstrate excellent English communication skills, both orally and in writing
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
