GT-Repair Development Engineer
Job Title: GT-Repair Development Engineer
Essential Job Functions
Fork Truck Certified
Advanced Rigging and Crane certified
Working at heights
Minor machining and welding support
Minor Electrical wiring of new tools and equipment
Organized and can work with engineers to help develop or test new tooling
Monthly EHS walkthrough and inspections
Preventive Maintenance on all equipment. Lifts, fork truck, machine tools and Hydraulic tools
Interfaces with vendors for equipment and tool delivery and pickup
Maintains PPE and consumables supply
Supports all heavy lifting operations at GTOS, Roof lifts, casing installs, Combustion installation
Preps GTOS unit for rotor roll: Drain water from bearings, Set up lift oil skid and Prep unit
Contacts facilities for any building issues
Works with vendor for Yearly Rigging inspections
General Highbay, Yard and Laydown area organization of GTOS parts and tools
Kiazan Logistics support
Tooling Validation support
Maintains GTOS Calendar
Fabricated Shipping skid for large project to be shipped to site for validation
Routinely preps for large rigging operations, and supports as engineers re-configure GTOS as needed for tool validations
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in GT tool development and repair procedures.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical matters.
Strong communication and collaborative skills in an international team environment.
Skilled at conveying technical information to customers, suppliers, and partners.
Ability to influence others and work effectively with functional teams.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office Environments. Occasional/limited travel to Customer site.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
