Vectrus HR Medical Lead in Greenville, South Carolina

Overview

Primarily responsible for the Emergency Action and Medical Team’s functions for the LOGCAP V project which includes the stand-up of medical evacuation plans/processes, coordinating with approved medical vendor for FFD exams, vaccines and appropriate stakeholders. Development of work flow processes/procedures for the stand-up of the EAMT section which include Medical SOW development for CONUS, OCONUS and remote medical requirements. Additionally, this role will liaison with authorized DBA carrier to monitor claims for CENTCOM and PACOM regions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the Emergency Action and Medical Team (EAMT) and primary responsibilities include evacuation/execution plans, project deliverables and tracking of metrics.

  • Primary oversight activities include the tracking of Fit for Duty requirements for Annual and yearly Renewals, medical technical evaluations and creation of the scope of work for medical vendor for LOGCAP V.

  • Handling all Medical evacuations for each CENTCOM and PACOM AOR’s by tracking status on progress and coordinating with Medical Evacuation Vendor from start to end of each action. Coordinates with Senior Leaders on briefings to ensure leadership is aware of each step being taken and expected costs.

  • Development of work flow processes/procedures for the stand-up of the EAMT section which include Medical SOW development for CONUS, OCONUS and remote medical requirements.

  • In coordination with appropriate team members ensure proper notifications/actions are taken in the event of a serious injury/illness or death to the Next of Kin.

  • Handling, resolving DBA claims for the appropriate COCOM’s.

  • Ensures human resources strategies for the EAM team align with the organizational business goals.

  • Coordinates with Corporate HQ benefits department and program stakeholders for Return to Work for include Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA) and Sick Leaves.

  • Assists in the transition of LOGCAP V projects in planning, designing and execution of all HR Emergency Action and Medical Team related functions.

  • Development of the comprehensive Emergency Evacuation plan and training program for on-call roster for NOK Notifications in the event of serious injury, illness or fatality.

  • Tracking and gathering metrics data for Medical Evacuations for each COCOM on the LOGCAP V contract.

  • Provides human resources Medical Services proposal support with coordination with the appropriate HR Management team, operations/project team and legal on ensuring timely responses.

  • Coordinating with Medical Vendor on the tracking of MQ’S, RDQ’S, and DQ’S.

  • Responsible for ensuring the EAM team notifies employees in a timely matter when they are DQ” D and coordinating with the appropriate project and functional support elements for terminations due to medical reasons.

  • Handles confidential PPI information.

  • Job Duties as assigned.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • Computers, printers, scanner, calculator, FAX machine, copy machine, and other general office equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required (Outlook, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures and war zones.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Work may require heavy lifting, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Must have CAC eligibility

  • Must have passport and ability to travel international.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years LOGCAP and/or Contingency Operations experience is required.

  • Three (3) years of demonstrated Leadership experience.

  • Must have direct experience working on the LOGCAP program and/or in a LOGCAP CONUS support office.

  • Previous start up experience for LOGCAP projects in a home office or project role.

Skills:

  • Skilled working in a team-orientated environment and able to demonstrate strong customer service skills within an organization.

  • Communicates professionally orally and in writing.

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Previous knowledge of MOD 15

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leads a HR Medical Team.
