The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes in our production facility.
Designs fixtures, jigs and other equipment as needed to include 3D models, Detailed Drawings and Work Instructions for use.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Create detailed work instructions.
Leads VSM and Kaizen events in support of process improvements.
Tracks KPI’s for the department as assigned.
Coordinates with other sites in the business unit to ensure best practices are shared and implemented.
Provide technical leadership, training and mentorship to production personnel and manufacturing team.
Support ECN completion in a timely manner.
Supporting the capital planning and execution on a yearly basis including discovery of new processes and financial justifications.
Continual progression in available technologies and industry standards.
Other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Bachelor’s in Engineering field with at least 3 years of manufacturing experience or 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
Familiarity and experience with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures is essential.
Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate technical concepts to all audiences.
Proficient with Solidworks.
Experience with MRP/ERP system.
Solid understanding of quality management systems including current ISO-9001 standard.
Ability to work effectively in and/or lead a cross functional team environment.
Strong analytical, time management and technical writing skills.
Proficient in the use of GD&T.
Some travel required.
