General Electric Sales Specialist - POC Ultrasound in Greenville, South Carolina

Role Summary:

Responsible for selling GE Healthcare products to & maintaining relationships with existing named

accounts including clinic and tactically important accounts, as well as strategic relationships with

sales channel partners. Specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth, as well sales experience

as an expert in the field will be necessary to execute the job. This role is responsible for selling

Ultrasound equipment into the Point of Care Ultrasound clinic and hospital markets.

Essential Responsibilities:

Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and

demonstrating equipment capabilities on Point of Care Ultrasound (POC U/S) products in

assigned territory

Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships

Penetrating competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the

business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements

Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans

to drive POC U/S sales

Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining our existing

customer portfolio

Annual and quarterly achievement of multiple sales and revenue targets

Development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize

on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.

Development of strategic relationships with sales channel partners coupled with the ability to

collaborate with, support and drive sales from channel partners.


This position is open to candidates internal and external to GE.

-Highschool or Associates Degree and at least one of the following core experiences: 2+ years of

small capital equipment or pharmaceutical sales experience, 1+ years of commercial clinical

applications experience demonstrating ultrasound equipment, or 2+ years GEHC experience in

customer facing role(s) (such as Ultrasound Service or GEHC Inside Sales roles).

Willingness to travel 50% within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays

depending on geography and business need.

Candidate must live in the territory, which includes North Carolina & South Carolina.

The successful applicant must comply with GEHC’s standard background check, including a postoffer

immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including a federal government

background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government).

-Bachelors degree

-Previous Healthcare capital equipment sales experience, preferably highly transactional sales

-Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, networking and IT

-Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a

-Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization

-Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions

-5+ years of demonstrated strategic selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting,

closing and growing a sales territory

-Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills in a healthcare environment

-Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a

solution-based sales process

-Experience collaborating with, supporting and driving sales through sales channel partner


-Strong written and verbal communication and clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize

complex issues into simple messages

-Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and

the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

-Knowledge of Healthcare industry and market place trends

-Clinical Ultrasound experience as a registered ultrasound sonographer
