Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for completing the export documentation process for outbound freight on international shipments. Ensure compliance with all export law and guidelines. Daily interaction and scheduling with freight carriers and forwarders to assure timely shipments. Ensure shipment requests process within 24 hours of receipt.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Create export documentation for international shipments.

  2. Daily communication with freight carriers and forwarders to assure timely customer shipments.

  3. Achieve on-time shipping Key Performance Indicators.

  4. Operate in accordance with US Export and Compliance Laws and Regulations.

  5. Process transportation and freight charges as applicable.

  6. Issuance of shipper’s letter of instruction.

  7. Export Record retention in accordance with company guidelines

  8. Arrange packaging and documentation in alignment with specific country requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and/or move boxes up to 50 lbs



Required: High school diploma along with related experience

Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or related area


Required: 2 years experience in an administrative function

Preferred: 2+years export and/ or transportation experience and Spanish languages skills preferred

Special Skills

  • Highly skilled with Microsoft programs

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively

  • Working knowledge of US Import and Export Regulations, Inco terms, and dangerous goods shipping and receiving.

  • SAP and Warehouse management system (EWM) knowledge a plus.

  • Demonstrated professional demeanor along with a passionate, proactive approach to servicing the customer.

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and oral/written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail, in addition to strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change, delays, or unexpected events.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure or tight deadline.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
