We're looking for an enthusiastic Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor for our Lancaster County office who plans and organizes the work for the Child Welfare Services, Child Welfare Services Family Preservation Unit. Duties and responsibilities are governed by broad program instructions, objectives, and policies.
The CWS Case Manager Supervisor directs unit work activities. Plans and implements organization structure for area of responsibility; provides supervision and completes performance appraisals for staff; provides input into the development of Agency policy, process, and procedures.
Ensures uniform interpretation, application and implementation of policies, rules and regulations by staff. Provides training to staff directly and indirectly; provides consultation to staff on difficult or problematic case situations; determines and prioritizes training needs for the unit.
Ensures timely and accurate preparation and submission of various reports and other information; establishes unit goals and objectives based upon Agency priorities.
Plans and implements the knowledge and skills development of staff through individual group conferences; reviews and monitors case material and related data to ensure Agency standards and priorities are met.
Assigns caseloads and other work related to responsibilities.
Attends meetings and coordinates with various public and private organizations by developing collaborative efforts to more effectively serve the community and families.
Ensures CAPSS data is entered timely and reviews data on CAPSS system to ensure compliance requirements.
Performs Emergency Welfare Services to include American Red Cross Sheltering and Disaster SNAP services as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science and one (1) year of professional experience in Human Services or Social Service programs.
A Bachelor's Degree in any other field and two (2) years of professional experience in Human Services or Social Service programs.
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science.
A Master's Degree in any other field and one (1) year of professional experience in Human Services or Social Service programs.
Knowledge of casework practices and interviewing techniques. Knowledge of legal principles and practices. Knowledge of investigative, techniques, principles, and practices. Knowledge of services available from the community and other public and private programs. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws or regulations pertaining to social service programs. Ability to organize and maintain a caseload. Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established objectives. Ability to supervise the work of subordinates. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, other state agencies, the private sector and the general public. Must have good skills on interpersonal relationships, organizing, problem solving, controlling and personal resilience is imperative. Ability to converse effectively with clients and staff.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Social Work or Social Welfare Program accredited by the Council on accredited institution, plus experience as a professional Social Worker.
