A Payroll Clerk position has opened up at a growing company in the Medical Devices industry Accountemps has partnered with. This opening will be based in the Lexington, South Carolina area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The position seeks a candidate who is skilled in communicating with both the internal team and outside customers while being part of a dynamic, fast-growing team. The Payroll Clerk will tackle challenges in data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Key responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk include:

  • Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

  • Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets

  • Configure custom reports

  • Build a system of administering and distributing reports

  • Make sure data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate

  • Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements

  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

    Requirements - Strong organization skills

  • Prior knowledge in Payroll software

  • Background working with Great Plains (GPAC)

  • Command of Multistate Payroll

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Process Payroll

  • Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience preferred

  • Practical knowledge of Process Bi-weekly Payroll

  • Experience with manual payroll

  • Payroll experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Multi-state Payroll

  • Adeptness in multi-state payroll

  • Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics experience highly preferred

  • General familiarity with Process Biweekly Payroll

  • Previous payroll experience

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Skillful in learning new processes and systems

  • Outstanding data entry skills
