Thomas & Hutton Engineering Structural Engineer in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven Structural Engineer in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Candidate must have proficiency in AutoCAD, design codes, and finite element modeling. Previous experience writing technical documents, including assessments and reports as well as construction administration required.
Typical duties include:
Concept planning with clients,
Preparation of permit drawings and applications for coastal structures,
Design of structures including municipal facilities, bulkheads, marine facilities, erosion control, buildings, and bridges
Construction contract preparation and execution
Construction administration and oversight
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Professional Engineering registration required.
Experience: 10 years of structural design experience
Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
The ability to work a regular schedule of 730AM - 530PM Mon-Thurs and 730AM - 1130AM Fri, occasional evening and weekend work
Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks
Highly client service oriented, self-starter, and team player
Ability to solve problems
Excellent time management skills
Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
