Revenue Cycle Manager (Medical Billing)

Overview of Position

Responsible for managing the Revenue Cycle Outsourcing business including financial outcomes (e.g., operating income/expense controls), customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction as per individual contracts. This also includes Business Office/Patient Access/Physician Office functions which encompass all functions of First/Third Party Claims Operations, manage registration, admitting, insurance verification, customer service, and managed care contracts. Oversee performance and contract compliance. Facilitate problem resolution between hospital and/or physician departments related to lab billing and the Business Office

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Perform revenue cycle management duties as needed

  • Manage team members

  • Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team

  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • 4-year degree in finance/business or related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years medical data revenue cycle experience

  • 2+ years of Leadership experience

  • Proficiency with computers especially with MS Office Suite and medical billing software

  • Experience with high level analyses of medical revenue cycle management including identifying trends

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management within lab billing

  • Experience managing workflow of offshore vendors

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Work well with others

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

  • Physical requirements include general office demands

  • This is work from home position

How much should I expect to travel?

  • Up to 25%

  • Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
