The Boeing Company System Design and Integration Specialist in North Charleston, South Carolina

We are looking for a highly motivated, forward thinking System Design and Integration Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina!

The System Design and Integration Specialist identifies, evaluates and documents basic computing system requirements. Assists in the design, build and test of delivery systems and components. Provides basic technical support for delivery systems components.

Responsibilities:

  • Assigned server support, may include AIX, Linux, HP-UX, Windows, Cloud variations

  • Provide assistance to identify, evaluate and document basic computing system requirements

  • Assist in design, build and test of basic delivery systems and components

  • Responsible for server hardware and integration with applications, as needed identifies, evaluates and documents basic computing system requirements

  • Provides basic technical support for delivery systems components

  • Ensure server security compliance is met

  • Develop and execute project and process plans

  • Implement policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manage and provide developmental opportunities for employees

Typical Education/Experience

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Required Qualifications:

  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 1 or more years computing exposure and/or familiarization with computing process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AIX

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with Windows Server OS

  • Cloud experience

  • Experience scripting using multiple tools

  • Process and project management skills and knowledge

  • Self motivated and able to achieve specific results with a general statement of work

  • Ability to work both as a team member and independently
