Medical University of South Carolina UNIV - Campus Shuttle Operator - F&A-OPS Business Services: UTS Fleet Operations in North Charleston, South Carolina

Job summary: As a member of the Remote Vehicle Operations team, the shuttle operator will be responsible for the transport of patients and physicians to various MUSC locations, on and off the peninsula.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 2: $18,593.00 - $26,497.00 - $34,402.00 (min - mid - max) NOTE: MUSC's minimum pay rate for UNIV-Band 2 is $10.50/hr ($21,840/yr).

FLSA: Hourly

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy equipment, motorized vehicles or machinery that is directly related to the area of employment. Some positions require a valid driver's license and/or commercial driver's license.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred: Must be able to safely operate all types of motor vehicles including: cars, trucks, vans, and small buses. Must have current, valid SC Driver's License and a certified copy of ten year driving record from DMV.

Departmental Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform cleaning/maintenance duties in all weather conditions and lift and move heavy objects such as mop/bucket, vacuum cleaner, etc. Requires sitting 80% of the time. Must be able to climb stairs, communicate effectively and work efficiently under stress.
