POSITION PURPOSEHR Generalist primarily functions to support the daily operations of the HR Department and the mission, vision and values of the organization.iQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAININGExperience/Education:BA degree in Human Resources or 3-5 years direct Human Resources experience.Other Qualifications:History of problem solving success.Ability to write and speak in a professional manner.A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evident by positive employment references from previous and current employers.Must be able to assume a flexible work schedule.Interpersonal Skills:Must have excellent interpersonal skills in handling interactions with Palmetto Infusion staff, other agencies, groups, patients and families.Technology Skills:Competent in use of company email as means of communication, accessing the company website to view company policies and electronic medical records.Competent in the use of company self-service payroll software (time and attendance, benefits, pay statements).Language Skills:This position requires a knowledge of, and sensitivity to, cultural and language differences.Mathematical AbilityMust have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityThere are a number of deadlines associated with this position. The employee must also multi-task and interact with a wider variety of people on various and, at times, complicated issues.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, reading, as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors and staff.Other SkillsMust be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.iESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Coordinates with the HR Supervisor to assist with the following department and organizational projects and processes including but not limited to: Benefits Administration; Annual Open Enrollment; Regulatory Compliance and Survey Readiness; periodic audits and annual reporting requirements; HR metrics tracking and reporting; Employee appreciation/recognition events; employee engagement surveyDemonstrates a high level of customer service to employees and outside vendors. Answers questions and or concerns employees have promptly and in a professional manner.Responds to employee inquiries within the service standard window outlined by management.
