Responsible for the daily processing and coordination of investment transactions for various portfolios managed by the State Treasurer. Responsible for maintaining proper records and files for the transactions and performing research when necessary. Communicates with the custodian bank to ensure effective settlements.
- Responsible for the daily processing of investment transactions for various portfolios managed by the State Treasurer to include the executed repurchase agreements. Maintains proper records on transactions and securities holdings to ensure a proper audit trail.
- Maintains various investment accounting systems and processes, including the recording, processing, reconciling and compiling of financial data not captured by normal accounting processes.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with external customers and other professionals including internal and external auditors. Identifies operational gaps or weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement to operational procedures as needed. Provides solutions to address risks associated with operations oversight.

*Agency Minimum Qualifications: ** A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field and professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing and/or banking.
*Candidates must specifically meet the Agency Minimum Requirements or an equivalent combination of education and experience to be considered for this position.
*Additional Requirements: *Must demonstrate expertise in the use of automated accounting systems and/or financial reporting systems. Ability to identify and recommend strategies and initiatives that improve the agency's financial programs/systems. Sound knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practice, understanding of governmental financial statements, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and reports. Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Must be a critical thinker who can reason through issues and provide solutions. Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other employees, technical staff, management, vendors and executive level staff within and outside state government. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to make presentations and prepare reports. Must be sensitive to the completion of tasks and meeting deadlines. Work may be required beyond the core hours.

Must be able to safely lift and carry files, books and reports weighing up to 20 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for intermittent periods of time. Must be able to reach, bend, and twist at the waist to perform filing, desk work and operate general office equipment.
Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or extensive experience in SCEIS (SAP) is preferred.
