Job Responsibilities
Assists the Assistant CIO with Information Technology projects. This includes evaluating, recommending, planning and coordinating the deployment of IT solutions. Coordinates communications and technical directions for offices within IT Services. Coordinates communications and technical directions between SCDOT departments and outside consultants related to information technology projects. Develops strategic plans and directions related to technology projects. Assists the Assistant CIO with developing and deploying IT standards in an enterprise IT environment. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics, management information science or related field and five (5) years of experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
A current and validated PMP certification.
