SC Department of Public Safety Supply Manager I in Richland County, South Carolina
Coordinates, schedules, and physically assists in all moves of excess and surplus property being turned in for storage, surplus, or disposition within the agency.
Responsible for processing all Turn-In Documents for all of surplus property. Ensures all documentation of excess and surplus property are processed and the accountability of capital and agency assets are current, accurate, and updated in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System Asset Management Module.
Responsible for coordinating the disposal of surplus property, equipment, and supplies within the agency.
Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and picking up inactive records from departmental sections within the agency and delivers them to DPS Record Center Facility. Receives and inventories archival records within the record facility. Assist in the disposition and destruction of records in accordance with the records series and retention schedules.
Advises agency's Administrators and Department Heads of excess property available for their use and any requirement changes involving disposal of obsolete and surplus materials, equipment, and supplies.
Assist the Inventory Control and Records Manager in processing and updating capitalized equipment records and perform other duties as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
High school graduate and journey level work experience directly related to the area of employment. Must have knowledge of Inventory Control practices and procedures. Must be able to plan, organize, coordinate, and schedule work assignments. Must know warehouse safety procedures. Must be able to repetitively lift 75 lbs. Must have a valid SC driver's license. Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with all divisions within the agency.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision. Must be able to make independent decisions as required. Must be able to set priorities within workloads and schedule accordingly. Must be able to adjust to short notices.
Must be able to repetitively lift 75 lbs. This position requires travel statewide and may require some overnight travel.
