Siemens Group Leader/Warehouse/Materials Control Level 6 -1st Shift in Roebuck, South Carolina

JOB STATEMENT

Support the Production lines in the movement of freight, stock, supplies and other materials from one area to another, loading and unloading items onto trucks, shelves or pallets. Coordinates Material movement to meet productions schedules and maintain continuous flow of material.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School diploma or Equivalent (desirable 2-year degree).

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years inmanufacturing environment.

  • Specialized Training: Knowledge of sit down andstand up industrial trucks. Not required but a plus:

§ SPS

§ 5S

§ Problem solving

§ CIP

  • Knowledge: Knowledge on all theoperations of the assembly / fabrication / process of the area.

§ Knowledge of material flow

§ SAP, Warehouse Management (WM) transaction knowledge

§ Point of contact for support departments / functions

§ Training Program

  • Skills: Basic computer skills anduse of basic mechanical/measuring tools.

§ Communication with other employees

§ Good Listener

  • Abilities:

  • Must beable to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

  • Must beable to reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs., and push/pull/slide heavy material

  • Must be ableto make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and moveobjects.

  • Must beable to stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb

  • Other: Must be at least 18 years of age.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operates tools and equipmentcommon to the material handling trade (e.g. manual and powered sit-downand stand-up industrial trucks).Must be licensed on sit down and stand-up industrial trucks.

  • Enforce 5S, 7 Wastes and otherlean principles in the team / area.

  • Reports of any shortage to PlanningGroup to prevent a stop in production.

  • Communicate with PlanningGroup on pulling and delivering line side parts to productions areas.

  • Conduct and directs cycle countas needed.

  • Responsible to accommodaterequests of Production personnel.

  • Reads diagrams, spreadsheetsfor parts to ASC operation.

  • Utilizes SAP data managementprogram to look up parts and conduct cycle counts.

  • Accesses and utilizes variousdocuments, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture ofproducts (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, operating Instructions, etc.)

  • Performs other work asdirected by Supervision.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Working Conditions: Job involves working indoorsand outdoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting heavymaterials, wearing common safety equipment (e.g. cut resistant gloves andsleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.) being exposed toloud noises and the possibility of bumps, cuts, scrapes, and strains.
