SC Department of Public Safety Temporary, Part-time CCE Instructor - Industrial in Spartanburg County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

Spartanburg Community College Continuation Education Division seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants for temporary, part time Instructor positions to teach numerous industrial maintenance/trade courses at any of the five campuses belonging to SCC and at various customer sites within our community. This would include teaching at local industries.

Categories for industrial maintenance and trades courses include, but are not limited to:

  • electronics/electrical,
  • mechatronics
  • pneumatics,
  • hydraulics,
  • mechanical drives,
  • HVAC,
  • refrigeration,
  • machine tool,
  • welding, and
  • other Mechanical and Electrical subject matter. Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • Associate's degree -plus- 2 years work experience, or

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a related field -plus- 3 years work experience in the trade

  • Previous training/teaching experience
  • Ability to present subject matter in a meaningful way and to accurately evaluate levels of learning Additional Comments
