Security Finance Compensation Manager in Spartanburg, South Carolina

Manages the compensation function of all areas of the Company. Assists Operations and Corporate management in designing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies, procedures. Manages Cornerstone Performance Evaluation and Compensation System and related projects and communications. Assures programs/systems are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, directs, trains, and manages compensation personnel and processes

  • Stays current with compensation trends and company objectives, keeping apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations

  • Provides guidance to executive team on potential plan revisions, pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluations

  • Oversees the position analysis and documentation processes ensuring all positions are properly evaluated, priced, and documented on an annual basis; includes evaluating the internal and external competitiveness of compensation plans through valid and reliable market surveys and analysis

  • Manages the administration and implementation of the salary administration plan and bonus or incentive plans for all areas of the company including plan documentation; works with IT to guide programming of bonus/incentive plans

  • Oversees the employee performance management programs to ensure compliance with company standards and needs of various business units; ensures merit increases are in line with established guidelines and salary budget

  • Works with Talent Development Department and management to align salary administration plan to desired objectives for position competencies and skills

  • Keeps Talent Acquisition Department informed on current salary ranges and cost of living data

  • Administers Relocation Program and oversees Employee Rewards Program

  • Works closely with Benefits Department to ensure that total compensation and rewards programs meet the unique requirements of various business units

  • Research and manage projects for implementation of Cornerstone Performance Evaluation/Compensation System

  • Manages compliance with various reporting needs including annual EEO1 reporting and Bureau of Labor Statistics MWR

Job Requirements:

  • 10 or more years of experience in human resources, specifically in compensation, performance management; Ultimate and Cornerstone experience preferred; Executive Compensation experience preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles and practices

  • Working knowledge of state and federal wage and hour regulations

  • Mathematical aptitude and analysis skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all organizational levels

  • Computer literate with comprehensive Excel knowledge

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma OR equivalent required; College degree preferred; CPP preferred
