Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Team Leader-Med Supply in Spartanburg, South Carolina
Serves as a working Team Leader, coordinates the receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies throughout the facility to ensure patient supply needs are met. Coordinates medical supply distribution and to ensure the needs of the patient and staff are being met. Responsible for following proper infection control practices and regulatory requirement to maintain the integrity of clean supplies from receipt to end user.. Willingness to accept new ideas and work under stressful conditions. Performs specific duties related to stocking and replenishment of medical/surgical supplies. Inventory supply locations on assigned nursing units to assure the correct amount of supplies are readily available. Receive and deliver supplies and equipment to assigned nursing units in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. Work with Nurse Managers and Supply Chain Distribution Supervisor to adequately adjust par levels to assure proper inventory availability. Be an active Supply Chain team member and abide by and embrace the team and hospital mission, vision and standards of behavior.
Required: HS Diploma or GED, One (1) year Hospital or Inventory Experience. Computer experience or training.
Responsible for completing staff evaluations with assistance from the Supply Chain Supply Chain Distribution Supervisor on an annual basis.
Ensures that employees complete annual “Health Screening” and mandatory educational g training within the one month prior to their birthday.
Assist the Supply Chain Supply Chain Distribution Supervisor and the Manager of Supply Chain in the selection of applicants to fill vacant positions.
Train employees to a high level of proficiency on all automated Materials Management Systems and automated supply point of use systems.
Responsible for the daily functions of the Medical Supply Department in the absence of the Supply Chain Supply Chain Distribution Supervisor.
Responsible for the Medical Supply Inventory Area, inventory par levels and proper handling and storage of clean medical supplies.
