Building Maintenance Technician IIFull Time Position with Comprehensive Benefit PackageGreenville County Parks, Recreation, and TourismHourly Pay Range $15.09 i $23.09 per hour (final pay determination dependent on candidate qualifications and experience)Greenville County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is seeking a dedicated and capable individual to join our team as a BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECH II TO PERFORM GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORK FOR ASSIGNED BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES. Come make a difference with us!Essential Duties includei(but not limited to):i Perform a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance/repair tasks and mechanical duties for assigned buildings and related facilities, furnishings and equipment. Work may include HVAC, carpentry, basic electrical, basic plumbing, painting, and other such related work.i Transport equipment and other items to and from buildings and facilities as needed.i Assist in maintaining inventory of necessary supplies, materials and equipment.i Assists in the scheduling and oversight of inspections associated with park buildings to include but not limited to Burglar/Fire Alarm Systems, Wet/Dry Sprinkler Systems and fire extinguishers.i Receive and respond to inquiries, requests for assistance, concerns and complaints in areas of responsibility.Minimum Qualifications:i Minimum of 3 years related experience.i Requires high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training.i Knowledge of the materials, tools, methods, and equipment used in the building trade, including HVAC, carpentry, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and painting; repair methods and maintenance practices for structures, furnishings, and equipment; strong grasp of work safety practices.i Ability to prepare estimates of time, materials, and labor; work from plans and specifications; work with limited supervision; follow verbal and written instructions; form and maintain effective working relationships with others; provide training and assistance to others as needed.i Requires medium-to-heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, digging, pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis.i Must possess a valid state driver's license.NOTE: THIS POSITION IS CONSIDERED TO BE SAFETY SENSITIVE AND IS THEREFORE SUBJECT TO PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TESTING and RANDOM DRUG TESTINGAPPLY NOW - copy and paste address --->i MAINTENANCE TECH IIi
